I'm sure this is TMI, but c'est la vie: I've been vomiting all day. Could be because I ate nothing yesterday but meringues, one never knows. But anyway I'm so super-ultra queasy AND I don't have any more Paxil so I'm having Paxil withdrawal queasy on TOP of the egg-based vomiting queasy. I have Saltines, rice, tea, and ginger ale and I'm not that psyched about any of them, except the ginger ale, which is *not* flat; does it need to be? Do I need to eat the food things? I really genuinely don't want to at all.

As usual, herbal, homeopathic, surgical or hypnotic remedies graciously received -- anyone know what to do about a case of vomiting?

Thank you.

I get migraines and have for over 10 years... I could write a book on vomiting.

I wish you weren't all the way in CA or I would bring you stuff :)

uh... could be gross, TMI or shit you all ready know.... so skip if you want

Personally when I am puking, I make it a point of remembering anything that I eat could make its way back up - gross but true. I would stay away from rice just cuz it gets suck in my throat coming back.

Toast is good but again if it comes back up it is like paste. But it is one of the things I have most luck with. That and a plain hamburger -something greasy - no clue why.

If you have a dr - companze, reglan or phenagren are good meds for nausea. If not, there is a liquid called Entrol (lemon or cherry - I would go with cherry) that they sale in the store for nausea. That is prolly misspelled but the pharmacist would know. It is like liquid sugar and for some reason works for a lot alot alot of people.

Do keep drinking liquids and try to eat a little something. Otherwise you could keep throwing up and it hurts more when there is nothing in your stomach. And try to keep your head level, if it lowers at an angle and you are just drinking liquid it will come out your nose. ick ick ick

I find it is best to take meds, right after if you can, and make sure you have everything you need near the couch or bed or wherever you are. Try not to move after you take something for as long as possible.

of course all this you might all ready know...

I hope you are feeling better. If not get better, like now.
