I heard a piece on NPR about it (with Ice Cube), and it sounded all meh. perhaps it is just complex so they didn't know how to frame it? their take seemed to be that the white family didn't get it in the end, or perhaps that both sides learned some things and didn't learn others. but you are smarter than NPR and Ice Cube put together, so off I go a-downloadin'
