Oh, I saw Saw II last night. It was the scariest fucking movie I've seen in my life. Needle trap! Oh god! Eyeball key! OH GOD.

::flails::

(Will someone who knows things tell me if Hostel is scarier than, less scary than, or approximately as scary as the Needle Trap?)

wow, gorgeous icon babe

you know I sort of secretly adore Dawn. somehow I feel for her all the time. I partly wish I'd watched more of your Buffy DVDs at your place instead of, you know, hanging out in Leederville or wherever it was. Okay, no I don't.

Still DAWN! I used to have a gorgeous Dawn icon that [livejournal.com profile] iamsab made which said something about war or blood or fighting. I really want another Dawn blank base and so I have my eyes out in the communities.

um... long answer about icons. mmmmmm. iconses. I loves them.

What is an eyeball key?

[identity profile] iamsab.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
I can't tell you, it's too awful. You could probably google for the movie and find out. ::writhes::

I hadn't realized that the eyeball key and the needle trap were related concepts!

I am SO SMART because I am not googling!

I can't really say if Hostel was *scary*, per se, because movies rarely actually scare me, but it was definitely one of the grossest movies I've ever seen. There were two or three scenes that made me shriek and hide my face and have to leave the room for a few moments to recover.

(This is a good thing, in my book. I love disgusting horror movies.)

[identity profile] iamsab.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I also love disgusting horror movies. Have you seen Saw II?

[identity profile] mollita.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
I have! I enjoyed that quite a bit -- I thought the first one was a bit stronger on the creepy atmosphere, or whatever, but that the second really brought some excellent grossness. Also, Donnie Wahlberg, which will never be a bad thing simply b/c of my massive and semi-shameful NKOTB obsession as a child.

Anyway, if you do indeed love disgusting, *definitely* see Hostel. Unedited -- I don't know what the original cut is like, but the director's cut is delightfully unflinching at times.

Hostel is less scary, but an overall worse/more gross/def. more stupid movie than Saw II. Saw II I'd maybe, possibly, buy on DVD. Hostel... well, D. gave MK a copy on CD, and that's as close to buying/renting it as we'll ever get.

Dude, I *also* much preferred Saw II to Hostel. I thought Saw II was properly terrifying and really fun to watch! Apparently, we are in the minority, alas, as it got universally panned and people liked Hostel. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke!

See you tomorrow--
