why why do I try to change you

So the new Alanis cd is growing on me. which is to say, there are at least three (exactly three) songs I really like, and the rest is still an enigma. But I'm quite fond of track #2, "Narcissus" (I wonder how you'd be if someone tried to call you on it...), track #3, "Hands Clean" (of course), (...and overlook this supposed crime...), and track #10, "Surrendering," which has got me tagging "that I REPRESENT!" to the end of everything my head says.

anyone else got this disc and care to comment on it? I'm still under the impression my Alanis can do no wrong, and SFIJ is still on my desert island list, so I'm not taking "Under Rug Swept" off the cd player just yet.

(been on repeat for two and a half days now, just in case)

I've never been a big Alanis fan, but for the most part, I'm really digging this cd. I got it used when I was in Portland, and I've been listening to it non-stop since I got home yesterday.

Favorite tracks include #4 (this man knows not of how this information has affected me but he knows the color of the car I just drove away in) and #7 (that particular month was harder than you'd believe), but really, the only songs I dislike are "A Man" and "Utopia."

that particular month

forgot about that one! Four, now. That's a great song.

I'm not too fond of "So Unsexy" or "21 Things," but it's Alanis, I've got faith, and she'll grow on me.

so glad you guys had a good time in Portland, baby girl!

We were standing on the corner and a little bird named Punk may or may not have mentioned something about deoderant. Is that something that you're sharing with the kids? Because this one would very much like to see it.
