taking arms against a sea of troubles

...or, I've been once again having bad crazymeds side effects, so am experimenting with different combos per shrink. Today I hardly feel like my skin is crawling at all!

All my good Tuesday night TV was preempted for the CMAs, and you all know I get the bends if I don't get my red-state military fix from NCIS and The Unit every week. I'm flappin' in the breeze, now, to mix my metaphors.

Elsewhere, I wrote two Slings & Arrows snippets; one for [livejournal.com profile] mazily who asked for Barbara, Ellen, and karaoke, and some practice OT3 I wrote wherein Oliver experiments with what it might be like to actually give Geoffrey what he wants. Or something.

Next up is the OT3 with the actual threesome in it, which I've accidentally started writing and which also, accidentally, is in Oliverpov (who knew?). And then possibly the Doctor Who/S&A crossover, if my brain can handle that much excitement all at once. Two Tennants, no waiting!!?interbang?!

This week I embark upon my illustrious career making a living in porn, so I'll be sure and let you (those of you who are not fortunate enough to participate in this awesomeness) know how it goes.

*looks down at her PG-13 script*

ah, how i would love to make a living in porn.

let us know how it turns out. i want details.

Count on there being details. I'm not writing this porn, just helping out in a friendly, behind-the-scenes, porny sorta way. The script *I'm* writing is decidedly PG and in space. Not that there can't, or shouldn't be porn in space!

Porn in space! My next project, clearly.

are you, like, bow-chicka-bow-wowing in this porn or doing a cameo?

[identity profile] iamsab.livejournal.com 2007-05-17 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm fully behind the scenes in this porn, wrangling other aspiring porn stars and being in charge of lube and baby wipes -- I kid you not.

THAT IS TOTALLY AWESOME, OMG. Living the dream, baby!

*Wiggles finger in ear* I'm sorry, neither the TARDIS or the Babel Fish are translating right now...

Can you explain the above for a clueless Brit who's bored and is reading flist of flist?

Ta and best of luck with the porn thing!

[identity profile] iamsab.livejournal.com 2007-05-17 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Well, so, CBS's tuesday night TV lineup tends to be very military-oriented and republican-politicky. And yet, I can't look away! NCIS is my guilty pleasure, and The Unit, while being militaristic, is a damned good show.

Hi!

[identity profile] becky-monster.livejournal.com 2007-05-17 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... I get the militaristic thing (the guys in Navy and Marine uniforms were a leetle bit of a giveaway;)) but the republican thing? Not reading that at all.

My politics, in translation, would be considered liberal, if there were a political slant, it would ping with me. But it ain't (isn't - sorry, roots are showing;)).
I see cops who are there to protect those who've chosen to serve their country - regardless of whether they're in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia or any other part of the world. The politics just aren't there. Just interesting stories, interesting (and cute) characters and a damn fine show.

But that's just me;)

Thanks again for the explaination. Much appreciated!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love NCIS with every fiber of my being. I just sometimes get squicked at the politics, and, like, how can I have a crush on Gibbs when he's a republican!?! *g* I mean, think of the episode where he loses his memory, and that incredibly powerful scene when Franks tells him about 9/11 (that scene gets me EVERY time) -- marvelous TV, but the sentimentality is definitely the political right-wing bent that a lot of us here tried to avoid after the tragedy. It's so easy to want to turn to a military solution and, and, and... the whole thing about Clinton not doing anything but lobbing cruise missiles across the border, eh. Anyway.

I'm making this sound way more weighty than it really is, because I love love love my big Navy show and I just tend to be oversensitive to these issues -- really NCIS is LOVE, and --

Just interesting stories, interesting (and cute) characters and a damn fine show.

Totally.

Thanks for the comment!

Bounces. Does it again.

I'm so very proud of your porn career:)
