.I saw Thursday's ER finale and it wasn't funny at all. actually I had to turn it off, but then I turned it back on. And it wasn't funny at all.
.I now know everything there is to know about the X-Files.
.sick as a dog, sick of the dog, itchy knees and Ernesto didn't quite install my DSL despite valiant efforts.
.back to work tomorrow. Surgery Thursday. Five day weekend and Duende-Duende.
I'm just -- because there are things that these shows owe us, and I know everything there is to know about the X-Files and I'm sure I'm satisfied, despite, whatever. But the ER finale just wasn't funny.
and I actually found it very satisfying and helpful. could be the fact that I haven't seen the last two seasons. Could be Mulder's cute spiky hair. could be that it was nice to hear some definitive "Krycek killed Bill Mulder" and "CSM had an affair with Teena and is Mulder's father" and "Marita was being paid to work for the Syndicate" and "oh that's who all those aliens and Super Soldiers and cloned Samanthas were!"
Almost excused Spender's stupid hair. almost excused the fact that no one used the word "love." Almost, almost excused CSM deciding all of a sudden to be Puuurree Eeeeviilll which I don't buy for a second, but, hey, maybe it was the peyote talking.
Simply put. satisfying exposition for two hours. Mulder and Scully snuggled and kissed a lot. Scully didn't do anything and Mulder was smug and superior and she tried to reassure him. Mulder thought the weight of the world was on his shoulders and Scully said she'd be by his side. you know, like a secretary, sort of. But with a gun.
You know. Everything I've come to expect from the X-Files.
seriously, I was completely satisfied. I feel served. Good way to end the series.
Does this mean that the movies are going to be two hours of: "I see dead people"?

But instead there was this baby that needed changing.
I recognized stories in there. I did. Good to know he reads fanfic.
