fulminate

G and I nearly finished the Thursday puzzle. All but two, I think, after we made up "Gouda." I have the thing with Jagged Little Pill too, but for me it's the mountains of Slovakia. And more, even more it's Achtung Baby, which is just the same, one of my favorite albums ever and I can hardly listen to it, unless I want to do That Thing.

I want a steak sandwich. I want to finish this article for Shana. These lunatics are offering me a job: http://www.candowoman.com and I'm going to talk to them next week. They strike me as broke and crazy, but then, what do I know?

Wil Wheaton's blog reminded me of walking through ComicCon in San Diego with Chase Masterson, and having to tactfully duck out of the frame when folks in uniforms and phasers wanted to take her picture. And then they'd trot off and she'd grin at me, and we ended up in the roped-off cafeteria eating soy hotdogs and talking for hours about SKL and MA.

I still want a steak sandwich, the one they have at the Snake Pit on Melrose, with butter and onions and a beer.

Okay, the Can Do site looks really scary. Get money up front.

Just my opinion and god knows, I could be wrong.

My thinking exactly. I think it's three lunatics and a gossip columnist. "how many lunatics and a gossip columnist does it take to screw in a lightbulb?"

(I'll keep you posted. *g*)

Please do. I worry. God help me, I do.

Um, I think the scary part of it is that the e-mail address for resumes goes to a "David." Is he their token can-do man?

ooh the snake pit

damn, i haven't been there in forever. Aww.

If there were some way to keep it fresh i'd send one to you. But I imagine the steak sandwiches are da bomb in NY too. You know, like real pizza. :)

I've never ever found a steak sandwich to rival the KC at the Snake Pit. go down there and have one for me, will you?

Now I want a steak sandwich. And I have no idea where to get a good one in this town. Maybe I'll have to make my own. I get paid tomorrow, after all...

And Qowf is right about those CanDo people -- that site makes me twitch, and not in a good way.
