I swear to god if Shatner shows up to play Lear I will LOSE MY SHIT. Geraint Wyn Davies (aka the scary cannibal from Cube 2) as Mackers was, um. Big. Enough. DUDE.

I love this show.

Are we talking Slings and Arrows? I think we are. [livejournal.com profile] very_improbable pointed out the beautiful little S1 boxed set to me the other week, sitting on a shelf at the Shakespeare Theater downtown just waiting for me, and OMG LUST.

(What's funny is I think of Davies as a stage actor first, because he does so much stuff in the city here. So I am all OVER the idea of him in S&A.)

I finished it! so sad. I want Ellen girlslash! Lear is an actor I have seen onstage many a time (including his Stratford farewell as Prospero 2 years ago), so that was special for me.
