sab: (all in a day's work)
I'm going to work. While there I am going to beta the flipflops, and I will return home at eightish at which point I'll be online and also hugging [livejournal.com profile] ptpatricia. Also Furby and Ed.

But for now I am going to work, where I will earn money with which to pay things not to mention people like [livejournal.com profile] pene.

[livejournal.com profile] runpunkrun, I will e-mail you from work if I can, otherwise expect me at eightish.

Who's in San Francisco this weekend? Anyone?
sab: (ron livingston try me)
Pinched from [livejournal.com profile] melymbrosia:

3 books you use most often for reference
The New York Public Library Desk Reference
Videohound's Golden Movie Retriever (2001)
Writing Treatments That Sell (It's more useful than it sounds.)

3 books you read on "high rotation"
Love and Rockets "Wigwam Bam," Xaime Hernandez
The High King, Lloyd Alexander
Truman, David McCullough (But not the whole thing, not all at once, anyhow. I just like the chapter where he's working on the railroad; also the chapter where FDR dies; also the chapter where he fires MacArthur)

3 books you read for comfort
A Moveable Feast, Hemingway
Getting Even, Woody Allen
Gracie: A Love Story, George Burns

3 books you really ought to read
The Illuminatus Trilogy
Underworld, Don DeLillo
A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Dave Eggers

3 books you will never read
Infinite Jest
Possession
The Mabinogion

*

The truth is that I use the internet for reference. And many of the books I should read but probably won't are simply too fat to carry around. Truman, of course, is exempt from all weight restrictions. As, of course, am I.

You must be this tall to ride this ride.

Oh, and everybody read [livejournal.com profile] prillalar's SG-1 farce, 'cause it's ever so.
