John Spencer died, the original LEO, the only LEO, the, two things you never wanna see how they make 'em, laws and sausages LEO, the, you're Leo McGarry and I won't let you be taken down by this small fraction of a man LEO, the, I been down this hole before, I know the way out LEO.

If I hadn't used it all up yesterday (poooor meeee, I have NO MONEY AT ALL, not even a NICKEL, and nobody loves me but [livejournal.com profile] wearemany and [livejournal.com profile] runpunkrun and Punk's too far away to HUG poor MEEEEEE, I have to finish this PILOTTTT) I would be snuffling and sobbing for Spencer, god damn it, 58 is so scary young.

I hate Christmas, despite grudgingly admitting that the weird fake tree [livejournal.com profile] filmg33k bought looks pretty damned gorgeous through the window, from the street, or down the hall in the dark with the lights and the blue matte glass balls and the subtle burgundy...shiny things. You're gonna get some killer macaroni art this year from me, roommies. Like WHOA.

Does anyone have the Survivor finale in a transmissable format? The torrent on mininova is a big seedless leechless goose egg. And I think I could take it if Steph lost, now that she's in the final four; I think that was all I needed outta her. As long as Rafe wins and not that skinny-ass freak or the fishmonger that couldn't.

I loved both the Grey's Anatomy Xmas ep and the Bones Xmas ep, and to [livejournal.com profile] lizlet I have only this to say: Emily is the GREATER Deschanel, and not just because of the name.

We have to schedule our breakdowns better. Like, stagger them. This is so inconvenient.

As Rodney would say, "Ow."

Come be on AIM with me.

After my initial reaction of "No! Not My Leo!" I thought of you and Punk and the POTUS and LEO TOUR of 2000.

58 is too damn young. How come Ronald Reagan got to live to eleventy-one and John Spencer had to check out so early? Not fair.

You people are not going to make me watch that show with the bad Anthropology!

The news of the Leo is the saddest ever. I agree.

And Lesser Deschanel is one hot tomato and a fine actress with a very nice first name. But was she cast as Trillian? Was she Will Ferrell's love interest in ELF? I digress.

Shiny, sparkly Christmas trees make everything nicer...even no money. :)

And, ahhh...macaroni art...beautiful and, more importantly, edible.

It actually made me go reread 12 Angry Parrots (http://www.shannono.net/theden/12angryparrots.html), because PotusAndLeo and LeoAndPotus were in attendance. Such nostalgia!

Stopping by to grieve with you a bit: it's just so awful. He just had such amazing character and edge and heart.

From [livejournal.com profile] kirbyfest's journal, becuase this just crushed me:
This guy's walking down a street, when he falls in a hole. The walls are so steep. He can't get out. A doctor passes by, and the guy shouts up "Hey you! Can you help me out?" The doctor writes him a prescription, throws it down the hole and moves on.

Then a priest comes along and the guy shouts up "Father, I'm down in this hole, can you help me out?"
The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole and moves on.

Then a friend walks by. "Hey Joe, it's me, can you help me out?" And the friend jumps in the hole! Our
guy says "Are you stupid? Now we're both down here!" and the friend says, "Yeah, but I've been down here before, and I know the way out."

Rest in peace, John Spencer.

The Bones ep made me cry way more than I expected. Can't help on the Survivor ep, but I would if I could.

Oh, man, Leo. I'm too tired to grieve right now, but I know it'll hit me tomorrow. He was such a good actor, and a good guy, and he'll be missed.

I think you should take a break from the Pilot this Sunday, and I will bring over holiday beverages and there can be cigarettes and celebration for you finishing the Pilot (or at the least the possibility of such) and mourning and a break from the utterly crappy reality that's intruding right now!!
