Buuuuuut...Mickey's stuck in the altverse with Rose. So I think somebody's blowing smoke.

If you look at the BBC Doctor Who website, you'll see the new companion. She was in Doomsday as a different character, they're just re-using the same actress. I don't know where that person got that thing about Mickey; I highly doubt it.

No, no, I am very familiar with Martha. That's why I was so perplexed by the site, which just recently adopted Doctor Who as one of their icons and so, you'd think, would have more recent information...

Hey! Let's make up fake spoilers about who the doctor's new companion is. Hmm, someone as likely as Mickey? Maybe River Tam? Or Cristina Yang? Or Dr. Sara Tancredi? So many choices of improbability, so little time.

You know that Jake would SO NOT BE OKAY with Mickey running around with the Doctor.

Jake would be building his own Tardis to come get his boyfriend back. Rose would help!

That website is run by the government's Dept of Media, Culture & Sport who wouldn't know their arse from their elbow in most instances. I wouldn't pay it too much mind. If the BBC says that girl from the one with all the cybermen is the new assistant, I'd much rather believe them.

Yeah, I think we need to be asking them to hand over the crack pipe. I'm not sure how they managed to misconstrue reality into that.

It's the next Doctor Who spin-off!

That's what I'm wondering. WHERE did they get this awesome crack AU? [livejournal.com profile] fmangel suggested maybe they were trawling the web for info and found some fanfic instead? Or a misleading TWOP recap?

It is kind of a brilliant AU, on the other hand. I'm sure in SOME parallel universe the Doctor is travelling around with K-9 and Mickey Smith at his side.

Your people just make stuff up! I've spent the last year reading British tabloids, and I have concluded that you people just make stuff up. It's kind of fantastic, actually.

WHERE, I want to know, did these Dept. of Media people FIND this fantastic and totally inaccurate spoiler? It would take some powerful making-shit-up to invent it, you know?
