You are amazing. I read the two you sent (so far?) and hereby elect you Chief Librarian of the Universe.

God, Shelley Long makes me nervous just reading about her.

and in newspapers...

Shelley Long view; just like in 'Cheers,' she's got a lot to say. Tom Shales.

hmmm. i got too many hits to comb through on the NYT historical database (322) serching 'shelley long' for that date range - i think about half of them are ads. if you haven't got access, i will happily send you my username/password so you can search it. it's all scanned pdfs, so almost certain to be fruitful. refining by adding the term 'interview' scaled things down to 12, but i have a feeling that it lost good hits.

call your local library with these citations and ask them if they have them in their collection as microforms. if they do, you will have to go look them up yourself. if they don't, then you can ask to interlibrary loan the articles, and they will *probably* just send you photocopies of the fiche or film.

dude. i wonder if i can put that on my resume.

actually with 'interview' as a term, i mostly get tv listings. (damn you, barbara walters!) i am sure there is at least one actual interview in the larger result, though.

i think my total was three emailed. possibly only two. :/ sorry, very tired. the last one i sent came out of biography resource center, if that helps. the other one (or two?) was out of gale's general reference center gold. article first and wilson select plus both came up empty (which makes sense, as they are both more scholarly. but i thought they were worth a try).

Sorry I don't have time to look up the articles themselves (assuming they can be found online), but I'm sure you could get copies at your local library.
