sabI found! This song that a friend of mine in high school played for me; it'd been written by a friend of *his* and recorded, you know, on a walkman in someone's basement somewhere.
When I lost that tape I was sure I'd lost the song forever, but ten years later it seems these guys are a band called Center Divide, and offer MP3s, no waiting. Dude.
Anyway, I hereby offer you Back in '77 (mp3), formerly known as The Star Wars Song. If you're curious, here are the lyrics.
