Nobody told me (read: everybody told me, but I was not *listening* or I did not *understand*) that Eomer's the dude who played Aphrodite's frat boy son Cupid!?! How about that. Cute, that Karl Urban. Cute.

So I saw RotK and boy was it ever full of Hobbits. And if there's something cuter than a gay crying Hobbit, I want to know what it is. Because boy are those Hobbits cute. And crying. And gay.

Now, where's a good place to find screencaps? Hobbit screencaps?

(Also, again. Why is it called "Lord of the Rings"? It was explained to me once that the One Ring is, um, lord over all the other rings? Is this really the reason? Seriously? We mean RING: LORD OF THE OTHER RINGS?

I can see why Tolkien didn't go with that title.)

The Lord of the Rings is Sauron--he who made the One Ring that rules all the other rings. When Frodo writes his part of the tale, the title he adds to Bilbo's in the book is actually: The Downfall of the Lord of the Rings and the Return of the King.

it makes us kiwis giggle. i don't think, "mmmm cute". i think, "Jamie the Ambulance Driver!", because he was in shortland street (our dreadful national soap opera). same thing happens with the matrix trilogy and the new star wars movies.
