puppies! free to good home!
Feb. 2nd, 2004 05:57 pmSome movies now. These are all VHS, all in their original, official cardboard boxes. Please be a trooper and request more than one so's we can double up on shipping.
Next, seriously, a post about space.
- The Vanishing, Kiefer Sutherland, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock disappears and Jeff Bridges is insane.
- Cookie's Fortune, a Robert Altman flick, with Glenn Close and Liv Tyler, and Julianne Moore is insane.
- Anaconda, J. Lo and Eric Stoltz are graduate students, I swear to god. And there's a giant snake, and Jon Voight is insane.
- The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, your standard subway hijacking with Walter Matthau as a sly and wry transit cop. Meanwhile, Robert Shaw is insane and has a hat.
- Affliction, Nick Nolte is insane, and it's snowing.
- 2001: A Space Odyssey, HAL is insane.
- The Apostle, Robert Duvall's undergone an insane transformation, and this is an Academy Screener.
- Mercury Rising, Bruce Willis is warm and cuddly, there's a wee autistic kid, and Alec Baldwin is insane.
- Dr. Zhivago, *I* must be insane for getting rid of this one.
- Coma, a Robin Cook medical thriller, where strange deaths at the hospital drive Genvieve Bujold insane, and Michael Douglas doesn't believe her.
- The Pentagon Papers, an FX original movie.
- Thanks of a Grateful Nation, a Showtime original movie about Gulf War syndrome.
- FRIENDS academy screener, with, um. Five episodes of Friends were TOW stands for "the one with" or "the one where": TOW Ross Got High, TO that Could Have Been pts. 1 & 2, TOW the Proposal pts. 1 & 2. That's not a movie and nobody's insane. Well, you know, except Ms. Chanandler Bong.

Date: 2004-02-02 06:06 pm (UTC)Which version of Dr. Z is that? The classic, from the 70's or one of the later remakes? I haven't seen that in so long!! It's been so long, I can only hum a couple bars into Laura's Theme before it turns into the theme from Phantom of the Opera, and I KNOW that's just not right!!
I would totally love to give that a good home. That, and 2001 a space odyssey - the movie that, when I was 8 or so, made me decide A) I'm was going to go into film/media and B) I needed a computer. :)
If no one else speaks up, you could also tempt me with the Altman/Tyler movie and The Pentagon Papers.
Have they had all their shots? And I presume they're housebroken?

Date: 2004-02-02 07:47 pm (UTC)The first time we met J in person (because the sib met him on the internet, of all bloody places), we stayed up till 6am watching movies on TV. Anaconda happened to be on SciFi at 3 or 4am, so we watched it, and somehow ended up commenting on how the movie is really about snake bondage porn. Yup. Giant snake bondage porn. Thought I should share that.
