[livejournal.com profile] marinwood posted a link to this game. Kudos (by which I mean the chocolatey granola bar) to anyone who can figure out the rules and/or tell me why it's so oddly captivating?

I think I won!

I'm equally confused and... did I win?

OK, now back to work ;)

In my fist attempt I was booed, so I think I didn't do as well as I could have (I got only 4000 points and only two items grew to the level maximum). I don't know about rules I figure the order in which you put things in affects their growth and there are orders better than others (for me it wasn't that items I put in early grew more) for more growth, and you have to figure out which is best. How many points have you got?

Huh! I got 28,000 but I don't have the foggiest idea why.

Wow. O.O
So did everything grow? And what happens then?

After wasting a lot of time doing valuable research, I still haven't reached the maximum number of points (atm I'm stuck at 12100 and nine items reaching their full growth), but I know now how it it basically works. The growth of the parts depends on each other, and when you forget things, an item may grow for a while but not reach it's maximum potential, for example when you don't manage to produce the rain clouds from the pipe the mountain will grow a bit, but it won't grow into a green one, but into a huge bare red one, similarly I think if you don't manage to grow the sun inbetween stage of from the orange ball (in the end it becomes a moon) then the clouds over the mountain won't dissipate and it won't grow green but remain blue. I haven't figured out all connections yet though, for example I'm not sure yet how the cube grows best nor what the pipe does after producing the rain etc. It's a really fun game though.

I did better the second time (7200 and the egg at least hatched even if it didn't grow fully, and that satellite thingie started to work) but still only 7 of 12 items grew fully. Gah, now I want to see what happens if I get the right sequence. (Did you manage? what happens then?)

Did you have to hook me on another way to waste time online? *glares* ;)

HTW, in this flash game you can psychoanalyze abused stuffed toys (you have different methods of therapy and have to figure out their stories and what traumatized them):

I only played it in German, but you can choose to play in English as well, and it's lots of fun to figure out what happened to them. So far you can do therapy on the hippo and the crocodile, the sheep isn't fully realized yet.

I was so wrong about that 28,000 above, incidentally. However -- I won, finally! Which is 20,000 points. The orange turns into a moon and the tornado goes around the propellor and the mountain rains on the pipe and grows trees and the pipe turns into a daisy and a bubbly purple robot comes down the ladder and merges with the boxy robot. Meanwhile the satellite dish gets TV reception to the microwave and the ring thing takes off, and the gears on the left spin around and turn the orange sunflower into a moon.

The egg hatches into a dumpling who occasionally becomes a green and purple dragon that flickers in and out of existence, and now I'm going to psychoanalyze a hippo in English. *g*

Thank youuuu.

Good luck curing your patients. *g* And I eventually won as well. What is really fun is how you can make wrong choices that advance you some, but don't get you to the final goal. Like, if you didn't try that, in certain combinations you can get the tornado to break the propellor, then the rainclouds from the pipe aren't transported by the propellor to the mountain, but caught by the tornado, where than an alien comes into existence (my sister, whom I sent the link to the game, tells me that is a reference to some SF book, that has aliens being born in tornadoes), anyway, because the rain never gets to the mountain, it turns try and red, and erupts with lava, so you get a lava lake. At first I thought you could maybe win with either an green or an apocalyptic alien invaded landscape, but it gives you always less points, despite the extra alien you get from the tornado.

Sweet holy fuck! I have NO CLUE what's going on here. There seems to be a chickenrocketship growing out of my hurricane? Also I seem to have lost. Let me play again. You realize Clark and Lex HATE you now. They were so close to having sex, but now I have to figure out what this plate does instead.

Okay, I got 9400 that time, with the maximum level on gear, propeller, plate, orange, tv, hurricane, AND big black round thing. I hate this game.
