I got the chance to play my favorite kind of devil's advocate, the Dukat Apologist. Over at ds9agogo I posted a long-ass essay on Dukat and Sisko and Bajor and religion and perspective, and then defended my everlovin' ass off. Feel free to come argue with me; I was missing my other space station too, and it's good stuff, getting my feet wet again.

it says something about you and it interests me that you want to redeem the bad guy. that you want to prove he wasn't so bad. it's not about the boring, I don't think. I mean, pure evil is boring the same way pure good is boring. but evil is not necessarily boring. is this specific to Dukat do you think? or do you want to redeem all the bad guys you love? and if so is it for the same reason you like that Alanis song?
