I stole this from Nestra's blog, the Star Trek Meyers-Briggs Personality Test.

apparently I share a personality type with Q and Quark, and would be most happy in a career that involved being supreme overlord of the universe.

I wish the Grey Parrot cafe served french fries before 6 pm.

this for Liz and Jo, mostly --

There was this bit in "Chicago" where Roxie looks up at her lawyer and does a half-nod, terse, and says, sort of quiet, sort of broody, sort of terse: "that's right."

And I could swear Nana threw me that exact look, delivering that exact line, as Kira once. so, there's a buck in it for anyone who can tell me the context and the episode. click of the tongue, half-nod, but she's sort of ashen, tired, being brave: "that's right." slurring the words, almost, "dat sright" happening.

and yeah, she was great as always, blonde this time, and gave a kickass performance though there was something about it that paled to the understudy who was singing her heart out as the other female lead. Who really gave a showstopping barbaric yawp and made it hard for Nana, or anyone, to stand out.

which isn't to say that our girl didn't have her moments, her numbers, that spiky wiry freedom-fighter doing high kicks and twisting her face into something decidedly un-Kira, bopping as the blonde ingenue: "i'm older than I ever intended to be."

It was worth it for "we both reached for the gun" alone.

and now, just to thoroughly blur the lines between fandom and reality, between going out and staying in, I'm back to work on this K/Du war story, sex love and violence.

Through it all, I've got Nana's face twisted into that half-smile, Kira and Roxie and everyone. because in both cases, she almost, ALMOST (as Sam would say) blew the walls off brick buildings. So I'll see if I can get her to do that myself. because, you know. I'm a writer.

and all that jazz.

I said before, but mostly I really want to know, so I'm saying again: look at this picture of Bebe Neuwirth and tell me, wasn't there a very, very similar one of Nana Visitor, almost identical, in some "Women of Star Trek" magazine issue several years back? another buck to anyone who can find that shot for me.
