open letter to the Internet

Dear Internet!

If you are fannishly inclined and live in the Los Angeles area (or can hop a freight to said in time for this coming weekend), it's my BIRTHDAY and we're all gonna have a party. [And if you're, you know, a pal, and need a place to crash (logovo, I'm lookin' at you), we've got some lodging availabilities here at Casa del Sab-PTP.]

I am Sab, and I'll be twenty-eight. I'd like to share that with you. And you should all bring presents too, or, well, mostly, I like bottled water. No, I'm serious, ask anyone.

Saturday, January 31st February 21st, 9:00 pm through whenever, at the White Horse bar on Western Ave just above Sunset. It's in, like, the downstairs part of a motel; it's big and yellow and on the right (East) side of Western about a block north of Sunset. It's got a parking lot and everything.

Also! Other fannish LJ people. Do me a favor and cross-post this to, you know, wherever? I don't care if you know me or like me or write in fandoms I know or like or read in fandoms I know or like, just c'mon and show up and we'll play like geeks with booze should. This is a genuine open invitation to all fannish types in the Los Angeles area (who are of age to visit a bar and do bar things). COME. Tell your friends.

Dear Internet,

I'd like you all to come to my birthday party, but this weekend is such short notice that I'm taking the liberty of not turning 28 until Saturday, February 21st (if for no other reason than qowf will be here, and that's a damned good excuse to party).

That's Saturday, February 21st and you should all come. All of you. Spread the word, really, I mean it, really.

[ETA: killabeez pointed out that this is Escapade weekend, and I know a good number of you will be in beautiful neighboring Oxnard for the slumber party (I might try to make it there myself). So, really, hop a shuttle bus and we'll ALL party in Hollywood?]
