but if you're expecting me to be some sort of font of Elijah info I'm afraid you'll be disappointed
WHAT?!? False advertiser!! *unfriends immediately!* Heheh! Just kidding, of course! Can't get rid'a me that easily! :p
Nah...as I said in my introductory post to you, I stumbled across you journal during a "journal hopping" journey through friend's friends pages(and it's a good thing I didn't have to get back out the same way I came in, because I could not tell you all the leaps I took to end up here). While there was most definitely a moment of "OMG! She's friends with Elijah!!", the more I looked, the more I found you interesting - and, SCRUBS - and later I discovered, M*A*S*H* and Northern Exposure!!! Need I say more.
As far as fic writing goes, I'm not into RPS (or, slash in general for that matter, though there have been a few exceptions to that - but it's gotta be super good story telling for me to read it). The only RPS I have ever read (from start to finish - I have stumbled onto a few and stopped after I read the rp's name) was one that came HIGHLY recommended and was, in my humble opinion, fantastic writing. Actually, I'm not sure it would really even be considered real RPS as the characters, though named for some of the LOTR actors, were not at all themselves...that is, none of them were actors or celebrities, etc. Basically, I think the author just borrowed their names and some similarities to their personalities. Oh - wait, there was that one other - but again, not really RPS because it wasn't really about their real lives - being that it was set in ancient Mesopotamia, and so, bore no real similarity to their real lives;-).
There's a reason I don't write (or normally read) RPS (and this is not meant as a slam on anyone who does). The reason I write fictional person fiction is this: I feel that I KNOW those characters. I "know" Frodo. I have been inside his head and heard his thoughts and felt his emotions. I know what makes him tick, etc. One of the saddest moments in the books, to me, was the moment that Frodo was stung by Shelob - because that is the last moment we are allowed inside his head. In some ways, that is the moment we (the reader) really lose Frodo. After that point, we only know what Frodo is going through from someone else's point of view. *sniff* Anyway, though Elijah did an absolutely awesome job of portraying Frodo, he is NOT Frodo. He is who he is - and I can claim no similar knowledge of him. I know him only through the media as most everyone else.
As far as my own writing goes, I write mainly H/C and FLUFF! :D Yes, FLUFF. There. I said it. I'm fluffy and proud of it! I guess you could say, I use my writing to give Frodo (as he is my most favoritest one!) all of the comfort and gentleness and tenderness and happiness that the good professor often did not. I just can't seem to help myself! :p So, with works like, "The Early Adventures of Fwo and Unga Bee" to my credit, I doubt you'd have anything to worry about from me. Hehe - judging by my fan fiction, the worst I might do is come and hunt you all down and snuggle you all to itsy-bitsy-teeny-tiny pieces! Look out! I'm coming to pet you and love on you and cuddle you and wrap you in warm blankies until you are dangerously close to being "sleepy-go-ni-ni"! Oh, and I might make you drink some athelas (spelling's prolly wrong!) tea. Other than that, you're safe!
EEEEEP!! What a darling kitten!! (look away, cp! look away! the two you have are more than enough!)
