Write letters to your congresspeople and media outlets about issues of current legislation -- that is to say, don't worry about saving the whales this month, but if you want to weigh in on, say, Condoleeza Rice replacing Colin Powell, that's a good thing to voice an opinion about. This is also an important year to help pro-choice organizations gear up for the coming supreme court fight -- talk to Planned Parenthood and NARAL and see if they need workers or volunteers too. Um.
