The Farscape con was like the best family reunion ever. We've done this for five years now, babies. It's positively a tradition, and oh! the fun at seeing those same faces in that same Hilton again. That, and the fact that I knew so many more people this year than ever before, due in some part to [livejournal.com profile] sorlklewis and [livejournal.com profile] thassalia, and due in no small part to LJ itself. I am just pumped with fannish energy.

And so, I give you photos. Please holler if I got yer name wrong.

Then it rained. We were cold and pathetic.

But full of love.

I think I have more, but I'll need to poke around. Until then...

...as copied most recently from [livejournal.com profile] wickedwords. I think this is a terribly sweet, fabulous idea, and I'm excited to participate.

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. The ultimate Natalie Hurley (of Sports Night) icon. Preferably wherein Natalie is laughing. Mit text. *wiggles in anticipation*

2. Homicide Season 4 on DVD. Kellerman, MAN. And Luther Mahoney! Oh, oh, now seriously blissing out in excitement...

2 1/2. Also, Babylon 5 Season 5 on DVD. If for no other reason than the Fall of Centauri Prime commentary. *swoon*

3. Jeremiah fic, my one true love. Markus/Jeremiah to boot. Can you imagine! (Though I've been spoiled by [livejournal.com profile] killabeez, the first and still the best.)

4. A California Driver's License. Preferably without having to pay any money to do it. *sigh* Also a pony.

5. You know? I'd love to know how to improve the resolution on my Samsung Digimax 130 camera. I don't have the manual and I've had a hell of a time finding tech support. The picture, in certain light particularly, is all pixellated and washed out, and I'm confident there's a way to improve the resolution, but I keep getting stumped when I try and figure out how.

Tomorrow's my court date, for the insurance ticket whereat they took the Jetta. If nothing else, I would like, for mein holidays, to get through the court date without any speedbumps, and I would like very much not to owe anyone any money. *fingers crossed*

After me, the deluge!

Hey, thanks! These glasses were an unexpectedly sound purchase. I got them at some random Polish Lenscrafters-type place, back when I lived in Greenpoint (Brooklyn's answer to Poland), and they have served me SO well since. Glad you like 'em!

Come to Burbank next year. I promise we're not scary. Well, strike that. I promise we're scary, but very accessibly so. *g*
