Hey, also can you pimp this tiny poll anywhere you go? I want a huge sampling, if possible. A girl is curious, yo, and it'll ultimately help me decide which show to spec this summer.

[Poll #733531]

And while you're here, have some songs that begin with B, for as long as the downloads last...

Thank you for contributing to Important Television Science!

I have caught a few episodes of both Bones and NCIS, pimped to me by [livejournal.com profile] minttown1 and my sister respectively. Neither of them really took, but sometimes in Ohio I'd watch Bones just for the DC factor. My life really is this sad.

god, no.

but there were no ticky boxes for "do they even show Bones in Australia?" or "I have seen one episode of NCIS and it was okay." or "I watched an episode of Jag when the blonde chick was on and then I think she must have died or something and I thought she was cuter than the brunette they replaced her with and also it's kind of a silly show so I don't think I watched again."

I've got to qualify my vote with I haven't watched much of JAG.. I watched a few eps and if there was nothing else to watch, I'd tune in... so it wasn't a God, no, really, but it wasn't a Hell, yes either.. ;)

Snap! I'm the same -- I watch Jag if it's on FX when I'm at my parents (I don't have a tv that works for anything but my dvd player) but not religiously. So also a not quite hell yes but not god no either situation.

Same goes for NCIS, although I have a stronger fondness for NCIS and will include it in my Forensic tv mainlining when I'm at my parents.

I download and watch Bones on a weekly basis though.

I should qualify that as I have recently watched two eps of NCIS and will probably watch it again as entertainment but it didn't grab me fannishly.

Ummm - I watch NCIS occasionally (it's on Wednesdays, which is Trivia night, and di Nozzo annoys me and I haven't yet been reconciled to Kate's death. I read more NCIS fic (mostly Kate/Abby) than I watch.

I watched JAG occasionally (I need to learn how to spell that word) also. Quit almost completeley after the "Australian" episode... that wasn't any country *I* recognised.

They don't have Bones in Australia, as yet. Unless they never gave it a shot, and it's on at some ungodly hour of the morning.

You didn't have a 'I have nothing against JAG and watched it on occasion, but not obsessively' button. I didn't feel right answering God No!, because I enjoyed it when I caught it.

NCIS is totally worth the viewing. Tony is so much more vulnerable than people suspect, and he hurts so very *beautifully*. I loved Kate so much and mourned her passing, but I have to admit Zvia totally rocks my boat. People should definitely give this show a chance. It's slashy as hell - always a major plus.

None of which you actually wanted to know. But, like, it's tv, and I love to chat about tv. Such is my life.

I had to say hell yes for JAG only because I think I've seen every episode for the first five or six seasons at least twice, thanks to my parents' obsession with it and the reruns on USA.

Bones is fun, but not appointment television.

To qualify my answers and thus make them accurate:

1. I did watch the first season of NCIS, but I gave up on it due to serious DiNozzo-hatred. Bones I love, oh yes, so much.

2. I watched seasons 2-4 of JAG, and after that the Webb and Palmer episodes and the occasional other one that JAG-watching friends persuaded me were worth my time or that I needed to watch to beta a story, so it's not really a "Hell yes!" answer, but yeah, I watched the damned show. *g*

I watched a few eps of Jag because actors I liked did guest appearances, but I learned my lesson. No need to watch stuff that's likely to induce an aneurysm.

And what about, "I think I've watched NCIS - maybe even a few times - but I'm not quite sure because all those kind of shows blend together in my mind, though I'm quite sure I've never watched Bones and what station is it on anyway?"
And "Tell me what JAG was about and I'll tell you whether I watched it; so basically probably no, but not God, no!"
