It must be serious procrastination when I'm killing time on the Pet Health page at msnbc.com. But to my credit, I was promised video of a cockatiel dying in a hot car, and video of a cat nursing two squirrels! Instead I just got this incredibly tragic story of fifty puppies burning up in a fire on their way to Massachussetts pet shops. Psychologically, that's gotta be msnbc telling me to go back to writing this cover letter.

Quickly, though, some things that happened that I forgot to tell you.

1. I posted part one of [written by the victors] (NCIS, Tony/Gibbs, Ziva/Jenny) at femslash100

2. I wrote [piscina] (Love & Rockets, Maggie/Hopey) which is just a snippet of commentfic for mandysbitch, who refused to tattoo her bellybutton.

3. I got my bellybutton pierced.

4. Another open letter:

Dear lesbians,

Watch Hex. It's girls everywhere!

5. And now it's back to seek my fortune. Job offers, freelance assignments, frequent flyer miles, gift cards, vouchers, and cold hard cash all graciously accepted!

6. Who gets these last two Vox invites? And also, if you don't mind me sharin' y'all, girls, I *think* unwinding and sloganeer have some extra invites too; we could consolidate our power, if we were clever. (ETA: And scrunchy! In fact, if you're out there and have extra invites, lemme know, we can consolidate them here. If I'm feeling particularly organized, I'll start a separate thread for 'em. One stop Vox shop!)

In my defence, there were no temporary tattoos on the floor of my office. But yesterday at a (really boring) seminar I wrote "WRIST" on my wrist to see what it would look like.
