The VOX INVITE TRADING POST is still open for business, post your available invites or come poach one from the many we have up for grabs. Thanks, everybody. Tell your friends!

And in today's very special Retraction Supplement:

Hex might be the first show to jump the shark after only four episodes. Now I'm halfway through season two and this show's never met a shark it didn't jump. Season two might actually suck donkey balls. I'm not sure I've got the capacity to judge these things. Still got lesbians, but I need to peel off the Sab Seal of Approval, and reserve my endorsement for the first three episodes only.

The management apologizes for any confusion.

Come start a Vox blog you can share with your mom!

I remember Hex! I remember that the experience of watching it always left me with the feeling that the world was cheap and ugly.

Emma IS better than Cassie, and Thelma IS the star, but that's all almost meaningless in the face of, um, WHAT? Baby-sacrificing hexagram-drawing monster-fighting demon-hunter who FALLS IN LOVE WITH LEON?

Even the Creepy Lusty Teachers lost cachet in season 2, because they were most interesting when they were both trying to get Cassie into bed.

For the very first time, too. Leon TAUGHT HER HOW TO LOVE. I feel that this component of their arc is especially plausible.

InDEED. Despite her affairs with demons and history with the sensual Azazeal, it took LEON to FREE her REPRESSED CHERRY!

*nods, looking very serious*

Dude, they do some pretty brave things, even though all the good ideas are poorly-executed.

I haven't seen Season 2, but season 1 had Jossian plot-elements, so I have to give them points for trying.

And Thelma rules.

That's just what I mean. Season 1 *is* interesting. Season 2 is really, really not.

Thelma does, of course, rule.
