some remix/redux recs

sabFirst, in Who-ville, The Mind of Shiva (The Vishnu Overdub) is a remix of The Mind of Shiva, by ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
erinya which is an awesome story, in Tardis-pov, about the loves that the Doctor has, and has had, and will have. This remix can't be credited for the pov, but it does add a really interesting veneer to the original, taking the thruline of the Doctor's love affair with Earth and things human and giving it some real texture and depth.
I also really enjoyed Jet Ski Accidents (the Radio Silence remix), which is a due South remix that takes the original (jet ski accidents, byjustbreathe80), which is a sultry little fantasy in RayKpov, flips it, and expands the story into a tale of Benton Fraser that brings in family, mythology, coming of age, and some incredibly hot sex. I love it when a remix takes hints from a smaller story and builds such a great world around them, and this is a terrific remix.
Lessons in Time (a Nine Months Ago Remix) is a remix of Nine Months Ago, a Dark Angel fic about Alec, and Max and Logan. The remix is the tale of Logan, and Alec and Max and the other X5s and 6s, and it's got all the dark conspiracy and flirty sensuality of the series, and just like the show leaves you wanting to rip everyone's pants, and latex gloves, off.
Love (the Many Splendoured Remix) is a Babylon 5 remix ofselenak's original, Knowing Love, which takes the concept of the original (Vir's understanding of love) and lays it over the Zocalo like a hot, porny blanket, and gives Ivanova and Talia, among others, the chance to explore their own ideas of love and heartbreak. Vir's cameo is priceless, as are Lennier's and Marcus's, and the whole thing's told through the eyes of a lusty and sensitive OFC with a unique perspective on the B5 crew.
But at the end of the day I still win, and if you haven't read the Slings & Arrows remix I received, The Brave Man With a Sword (Le Petit Mort remix), you are missing a marvel of epistolary wonder and the awesomest thing to come out of remix this year.
