So I'm sitting here in my front yard, reading HP:HBP in preparation for lining up at Borders at 10:00 to (hopefully) get my hot little hands on a hot little copy of TDH tonight (thanks,

wearemany!), and

fmangel and I are batting around scenarios and death-draft picks for the upcoming grande finale.

Find my predictions below the cut; I survived Draft Day at Sports Night! No spoilers in comments, plz, but wild speculation is just fine.

1. Hagrid must die.
2. Arthur Weasley must die. Possibly Molly, but my money's on dad.
3. Hedwig is a horcrux, and therefore must die.
4. Neville is a horcrux, and therefore must also die, but (as

fmangel points out) not before killing Bellatrix.
5. Voldemort must die. I mean, come on.
6. Snape and Lily Potter have a history (

fmangel agrees with this part) --
7. -- possibly in that they are Hermione's REAL PARENTS, making Hermione Harry's half-sister, as well as a pureblood.
7a. And Snape must die.
8. If we can get Draco to kill Lucius, or vice-versa, that'd be nice.
9. George and Fred Weasley will die in a shower of fireworks and awesomeness.
11. Surprises will be found in the Black family tree, possibly involving previously only-hinted-at members of the Black family. Sirius will stay dead.
12. Harry will die killing Voldemort, and pass beyond the veil, much like Return of the Jedi, to stand beside the ghostly figures of Dumbledore and Sirius in that great hereafter.
13. OH AND RON IS REALLY DUMBLEDORE! (told you so,

somedaybitch!)

*I don't have my copy yet. I chickened out at the Borders line. Let's see what happens today.

Epilogue: Ron and Hermione will survive, and live to tell the tale of the brave Harry Potter and how he defeated the Dark Lord once and for all time.
