This is Radar. He's a dog. He's five. He was a stray that the rescue found and he'd been there since October, and as of two days ago he's home with us, chewing things, being awesome, scaring the cats, and sleeping curled up on the couch. He is the sweetest lickingest doggie-dog you ever did see, and once he learns things like "sit" and "stay" he'll be unstoppable!

Rottweiler mixed with Chow and possibly some beagle...like a Row or a Chiler or possibly the Regal Beagle?

Oh, he's adorable! He does look like Rosie's brother! How old do they/you think he is? Is he full grown? Cats are great (when they're not peeing and pooping everywhere) but there's nothing like a dog. Congratulations!

BTW, I don't see any chow in him. (Been in dogs for three decades, in Rotts most of that time.) A lot of other breeds -- including Rotties -- often have the black mouth pigment that's associated with chows.

now i feel slightly guilty about my plan to kill off radar in that story once i get my computer back . . . damn animals! way more upsetting than people!

(p.s. jonathan on survivor - i think he was on vanuatu before? - sounds so much like a young alan alda it creeps me out. therefore i am hoping his alliance with the scheming women wins all.)
