you know, in about three weeks, the babies conceived on September 11th will start to be born.

MZ directed me in that play about playing cards in the face of the plague, and I can't remember how it went. Dead bodies all over Europe, and the rotting and the stinking and the rats.

To paraphrase: "The question is not when you are going to die or how. The question is only: bridge, or rummy?"

i read the first time and said, what's a rummy? is that british for tunnel?
