I have two questions which are actually questions:

1. What's the benefit of having a syndicated LJ feed? Additionally, what's the benefit of *friending* an RSS feed rather than the actual journal itself?

2. Why would someone "hide friend of" list?

I know there are reasons for both these things but my all my useful brain space has been taken up with Band of Brothers boys and Firefly. Help a gal out, woncha?

I had more things I didn't know the answer to, but I've forgotten them. They'll come back to me and I'll ask them again. Probably.

Both of those answers (yours and [livejournal.com profile] unsated's) to the "friends of" list make sense. It does encourage the question of why they don't give "hide friends list" as an option as well.

(And there's nothing wrong with being an LJ stalker. *g*)

As for the RSS feed, I get Wil Wheaton's blog syndicated as well, but the thing is that Livejournal offers the option of syndicating your LJ or subscribing to a syndie LJ while on LJ itself and I wonder why. Is it a bandwidth issue?

Mysterious, mysterious.

And thank you!

I hide my friends-of list, and I would hide my friends list if I could. I still hope that as they revamp things in this part of livejournal, that this will become an option.
