I believe.
Feb. 23rd, 2004 05:30 amDateline: "Running on Empty," or, How My Love For Markus Knows No Bounds. With limited spoilers, for the sake of
gwyn_r.
First, the thigh-holsters are sexy as fuck. Erin in that thing, goddamn. Markus in that thing, plus the turtleneck/vest combo I'm so fond of, goddamn redux.
Second, Mister Smith and Erin, genius, genius, I love it, I love it ever so.
Third, Markus's face when Jeremiah [spoiler], that sort of half-turned hard swallow and the irresistable blink of those inky eyes, and man does he ever wear the ubiquitous sexy forehead scar elegantly. (I have a theory that TV and movie heroes get one of two scrapes/scars, the sexy above-the-eye forehead scar or the sexy below-the-eye cheekbone scar. Markus got both, because he's Just That Tough, in his hyperintellectual doesn't-get-out-much way. Which brings us to:)
Fourth, "I think Meaghan would have wanted me to do this." And here's hoping for lots more Meaghan allusion in the future, as the Long Night of Jeremiah continues here at Casa del Sab.
Fifth, this show just gets better. Season 1 was more of a ripe-with-potential, uneven-writing, guilty-pleasure sort of business. Season 2, I think, might actually be good. Like, good TV on its own merits good. But don't quote me on that, as I am blinded with fangirlish obsession.
In case you're worried, I still love you all. Especially
ropo, who is, somewhere in this great city of ours, also absurdly awake.

slightly off topic, but not much...
Date: 2004-02-23 05:45 am (UTC)I got B5 tapes instead of X-Files tapes. This is totally cool, as I'll never turn down B5. Just letting you know so if someone tells you they got X-Files tapes instead of B5 tapes, you can send them my way and I'll send the B5 tapes on.
And finally, what's your favorite two-color color combination.

Date: 2004-02-23 05:49 am (UTC)YOU. Watch Jeremiah. It's right up your alley, as far as I can tell.
Color combination! Hm. I like red and grey together a good deal. Or red and sort of a steely teal. Sort of a greyish teal. Well, grey. I like red and grey. *g*
