I found the tail that corresponded to the lizard you may recall from earlier in this zoo.

The tail is no less than ONE FOOT long. For the Europeans, that is. Well, it's like a third of a meter, is what it is. Sitting there disembodied under my desk, making time with Little Plastic Lennier and Little Plastic Chiana (who have, incidentally, begin a very quiet and surreptitious affair, not to be outdone by Boba Fett and Wondermom whose romance is legendary all over the bottom two shelves of my bookcase).

The tail is dark green, scaly, and riddled with teethmarks (which I consider rather disappointing if only because they take away from its inherent resale value) and the bitten-off end has cauterized nicely. I put it on my shelf, along with the bird bones [livejournal.com profile] _maayan and I found at the Salton Sea.

(Also: hopefully tomorrow is not to late to get you the River comments? 'cause I have things to say, yes, but am all sleepy and scattered now.)
