Hey, so, in the interest of fannish solidarity, I'm asking you all to join me in support of Jenna L. as the Survivor Fan Vote Million Dollar Person Thingy.

Jenna came straight out of the very first Survivor, and she was my favorite way back then, before people knew about alliances, before Richard Hatch outsmarted everyone and took one giant leap for naked gay men. She's sneaky and manipulative, kinda dumb but kinda sweet, and mostly, she respects the game. (I'd've voted for Shii Ann, but she already got the car.) Jenna's a good sport, she congratulates winners and doesn't sulk too much when she loses. She doesn't hold grudges. She's a single mom and she's playing for her girls.

Anyway. Go here, and vote for Jenna for me. The top Jenna. With the hat. Jenna L. Spread the word, especially to people who don't care about Survivor one way or another, people who might not have voted at all. Those people should vote for Jenna. As a favor to me.

If we can get fandom behind this one, I'll be rightly proud.

Now, to get back on that horse and finish my pinch-hit Remix fic.

I totally already voted for Jenna because, in her "why you should give me the million" speech, she asked everyone to vote for Rupert. And I hate Rupert because he's the worst kind of asshole, the kind that thinks he's a genuinely good guy. So I'm voting for Jenna anyway. (Although Rob C. totally cracked me up by promising that if he wins, he'll give half the money to Rupert.)

I totally agree about Rupert, and Jenna even played her "why me" speech PERFECTLY. Threw in that bit about her twins and then plead for Rupert. Jenna totally knows the game.

as a person who could care less one way or the other, i shall make good use of my lack-of-caring and vote for the girl in the stripy cap. (besides, with all the little not-quite-ticky-boxes, it's oddly poll-like and thus amusing to those of us who are easily amused. and i get to go, "eh, i have no clue what they're referring to, so i pick... C!" like on multiple choice tests. that is all.)

I also hate Rupert--hate, hate Rupert--and dig Jenna for reasons which I don't quite get, myself.

I started out liking Lex; he morphed into total ass, though. And I hate Shii-Ann, too. I hate her and her rolling eyes and her calling herself a nickname she made up. Though she acquitted herself better than usual at the final jury, she was unendurable in her last couple of episodes.

I think possibly Jenna is not a good spending of your vote, then. Who can beat Rupert in popularity stakes? Rudy's cool but he was voted off too early, same with Rob C. Rob M might get audience votes but I don't know. Colby and Ethan? No one will vote for them... grrr. I don't know how to save you from the inevitable.

I like Jenna. But I can't vote anyway somehow.

No way. Jenna's got some heavy duty fans from way back in the Pagong days; she's got a more than fighting chance. Colby's the only other one, I think, who's got a chance against her or Rupert, and he got the car from Tina, or the motorcycle, or whatever. Rob C's a big whiner and Ethan already won! Jenna's the only way to go.

I'll tell ya, I love Rudy too. I loved him with Richard from day one. And not in a slashy way. *g* But I just feel a kinship with Jenna, she's so human and she really, really wants to win.

Great madam, with a cough I'm going to remind you of something, because, embarrassingly, I'm about to call you on it. Ahem, from back in the mists of time:

Not! all that well-trodden! Maybe a dozen PG fics in existence! Nothing with boy parts in! No steamy and epic romances! (Well, aside from the series itself.)

All of this is to say, I think that's your next mission.
