No good excuses, except that I'm sick, and I'm stuck in a dead-end job at twelve bucks an hour, that I don't have a car, that I'm undermedicated and overworked, plagued by altruism, volunteering with a SECOND non-profit to do some Katrina aid work (benefit concert at Austin City Limits!), interviewing for jobs that ask ME if I've got a couple hundred thousand to invest in their company, and, sorry, it's pro bono, at least until the '06 elections, do I go back to commercial civilization? Do I abandon the Dems before the midterms? Do I abandon New Orleans to the arthritic hands of Brownie, yer doin great?

I am SO BROKE. I have never been this broke and also had a job.

Point being: I owe you everything, internet, and you owe me nothing; I've been a lousy friend, a terrible correspondant, got no excuses except that I swear I SWEAR I miss you more than you miss me -- you just lost one little Sab; me, I lost the whole damned INTERNET.
