I deleted one paragraph, the one about the new stereotypes and the difference between Brian's experiences w/racism and his son's? It was too complicated a thought to cram into one paragraph so I told Liz I'd cover it in the next article after the series is over.

Great article! The show sounds delightfully mockable. I've been wary of watching because it seemed too contrived (from the promos) to have any sort of "learned" outcome other than: Yeah. We're different. Who'da thunk.

and you totally pwn the internets!! SMRT indeed. I wanna talk to you about Black.White (or write a post about it, sometime), because I think it is poignant and complex and compelling and powerful and all these things, but also that in other ways it fails, deeply and painfully. I mean, maybe that was your point.
