Does anyone know where I can download NCIS? I suddenly and stupidly need to feed my Michael Weatherly jones.

Which is to say that I have more to say about Dark Angel and will need to exorcise my demons with some sort of indulgent and cathartic Max/Logan RST because they spent an entire season not able to touch each other and the show never once made it sexy and that is just stupid and insulting.*

Which is to say that S2 of Dark Angel really, really sucked. (Sorry, people who like Jensen Ackles.)

Which is to say that S ONE of Dark Angel dug its little claws into my soul, and is smart, scary, sexy, dark, twisted, gay, and ridiculously hot. And Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly in the same room -- with barely one TV actor's worth of talent between them -- have so much chemistry my hard drive nearly melted. My head nearly melted. I am become heterosexual! Michael Weatherly, you are TOO SEXY. You put the two of those suckers on the same screen and one requires parental controls and a cigarette after.

Which is to say, the aforementioned post re: Dark Angel will come. Expect big words on Original Cindy and Alimi Ballard, uncomfortable Michael/Jessica squeeing, horny feline DNA eroticism, lesbians, Mr. Multiples, going fast on a motorcycle, makin' toothpaste and influencing people. (Big words on S2 go as follows: any time you cast Jo Jo the Dog-Faced Boy as an ensemble regular you have Jumped the Shark. you should be able to find most all of NCIS up on the torrent networks, though there's no guarantee of a good speed on older eps. the P2P networks are also good. season one (and maybe season two? I'm a bit behind on my DVD news) is being put out in the next few months (check tvshowsondvd.com for more info, etc. etc.).

if you don't want to wait for the official DVDs, I've got all of both the first and second season .avis burned to DVD and all of season three up to the last new ep before tonight's.

I liked season one of DA better too, not least because I thought having the government/military as a villain worked much better in a sf-like show than this tacked on, bizarre mystical crap they introduced in season two for no reason I could discern.

That said, I actually liked Alec, but I'm really weary of DA fanfic because while I have no clear shipping preferences, the number of times I've read fanfic (seemingly decently written ones they seemed at first too!) that had Logan turning randomly into an evil and/or insane psychopath, just so the author could ship Max and Alec is appalling, especially considering that I haven't read a lot of DA fanfic in total. I get that it's expedient to get Logan out of the picture, at least romance-wise, for a Max/Alec fic, but why go for character bashing on top of that? I may not be that much of a Max/Alec shipper, yet I am not so unconvinced of the possibility for this pairing that I could only see it if Logan turned out to be evil.

Me TOO. All the good futuristic post-Pulse Seattle stuff was so GOOD in S1. All the Jam Pony, squatting, border patrol, police corruption, toothpaste-shortage business! To erase all that -- along with OC's hotness -- and Logan's! -- in exchange for JENSEN and JOSHUA is a CRIME.

You don't know of any actual GOOD M/L fic, do you? Set either in S1 or in S2 without Alec? Or, at least, making good use of the virus?

Sorry, I can't really help with recs. I remember having read some decent M/L, but that was a few years and computers ago, so I can't really remember. And even so, I actually can't recall any really awesome, outstanding DA fanfic. The main thing that sticks with me about DA fandom is that every time I try to look for DA fanfic (usually about once a year or so) I end up totally frustrated.

i don't know if tony is a *sleazy* italian so much as . . . a womanizing class clown who sometimes whips out his "i'm a disarmingly competent investigator! ask me how!" button. i love him so, so much. he doesn't have scruff *or* glasses here, but in the last two seasons he does get some really sharp suits.

(in point of fact—i love everybody on the show! i love the show itself! soon the whole world will know its greatness!)

Ah! I shall look forward to any further developments with interest! Dark Angel S1 was the only bit of TV that peaked my interest after Farscape. Although, I didn't see it til AFTER the cancellation (DA's, that is). When I found out it led me to think "I'm seein' a pattern here..."

Couldn't bear going into S2...virus! Alec??! Insane 'keep the leads apart', when FS had had them together (in the angsty painful on off way) and I KNEW it could work! I was all "Nooooooo!" Clever writers and good plotlines could actually get your leads together and it would STILL WORK, I was positive. Between S1 ending on TV here, and S2 starting I surfed avidly only to find out my hot OTP were torn assunder (and the Alec guy was dominating fic). I felt like the ptb were manipulating me for a pointless, pointless reason, and it felt so annoyingly obvious. I swore off right there.

Anyways.

MW = hot!

Max/Logan = Hotter!

OC = fantabulous character!
