March 7: New York! LJ user boxmint, ailing and crippled and brilliant in her swank midtown pad! LJ user furies, my littlest of all little sisters, who traded me thirtysomething for Karin Slaughter and I think we're all going to come out well from this exchange. Nights spent in the houses of these chicas filled me with deep and abiding New York warmth. Hi LJ user jalfred! Hi LJ user _abulafia! Hi LJ user notpoetry! *tiny fist shake* at LJ user scrunchy who I didn't get to see because some sort of governor was transporting girls over state lines for immoral porpoises!

March 14: Providence! LJ user projectjulie, my girl, my girl, my birthday girl! Got to meet LJ user clyde_man and LJ user poojapooja and LJ user _plasticity_ and even LJ user ljconscript! A surreal time was had by all.

Now: Bed! With Catbook user Hawkeye and Catbook user Houlihan, yowling at me for having abandoned them so long (though it was to the tender ministrations of LJ user thassalia, who is clearly the best ever.

Also, those cats lie!! I bought the tiniest one a 1/4 of a chicken from Zankou to make up for not sleeping there, and even the furry boy came out to be loved (albeit from afar). They have been worshipped and adored, but it is not enough! Never enough.
