General predictions for the final seven on The Amazing Race:



The flight attendants, esp with their upcoming Speed Bump, had BETTER get sent off this next ep. I think the only way they could screw up is if Mark and Mike (short stuntmen) get really really lost somewhere. I don't like the flight attendants one bit, so I'd rather keep the stuntmen.

After the stewardesses, the stunt men will probably go next, unless Gay Dad/Son encounter some hernia-related issue that Gay Dad can't do. I like both the stuntmen and the Gay Dad & Son, so this is a toss-up for me. Just not Tammy and Victor! They better not get lost or screw up again.

Now, as I said, I am not wild about Margie and Luke because Luke strikes me as a spoiled jerk and I suspect he only seems meeker because of his deafness. But when they lose he's a really bad sport, and I'd like to see them go next.

I LOVE Jen and Kisha, especially because Jen stripped to her skivvies and was SO HOT; between her an Tammy I was absolutely thrilled with the hot nakedness of the last ep. STILL, Jen and Kisha do have taxi and driving problems, so they're a risky bet, but I want them to stick around because I LOVE them.

Jamie and Cara are also such sweethearts and good sports and I'm very fond of them. But up against Tammy and Victor, or the stuntmen, or Gay Dad & Son, they could get outraced.

I want to see Tammy and Victor, Jen and Kisha, and either the stuntmen or Gay Dad & Son in the final three. And at that point, may the best team win (Tammy and Victor! I always tend to side with the smart nerdy team, and they are our nerdiest and smartest and they strategize... somewhat. Esp. when Victor listens to Tammy).

If we lose any of these teams and I'm forced to watch a face-off between, like, Margie and Luke, Cara and Jamie, and the flight attendants, I am all for Cara and Jamie. Sure, I would love to see a deaf kid win TAR, and yes, his mom Margie is awesome, but Luke really grates on me for some reason.

ETA: Here's what I think it is. Luke and Margie don't seem to be having any fun. I mean, the stuntmen? Mel and Mike? Having the TIME of their LIVES. Even Tammy and Victor are managing to find fun. But Luke just sulks and doesn't even seem to enjoy the challenges. The TAR champion should be someone who loves the race, is what.

My ideal/likely countdown, from next voted-off through first place:

7. Flight attendants. Bye-bye.
6. Stuntmen. Sorry! Try slightly harder to not get lost!
5. Kisha and Jen, probably. I hope not.
4. Gay Dad & Son, because of the hernia.
3. Margie and Luke
2. Cara and Jamie
1. Tammy and Victor YAY!

We've already knocked out all the really tough young men! The stuntmen and Kisha and JEn are probably the physically strongest, though Tammy and Victor are fast too (I guess VIctor DOES count as a strapping lad). Everybody else better hope for challenges that suit them.)

And if it can't be Tammy and Victor, as I said, I want the stuntmen or Gay Dad & Son, or wildcard Cara/Jamie.



Survivor happens also to be a CBS reality show that I follow to the point of total geekitude.



Loook, look. The Sierra/Brendan and Taj/Stephen alliance is GOOD, esp with both idols found, but Stephen is a WEAK LINK and I think they'll only have the strength and numbers if they bring in JT. Stephen has a big-boy crush on JT; he's a HUGE physical asset, and truthfully I don't believe Stephen would use the idol to save Taj (even though she entrusted him with it) without a sure thing: JT.

ALLIANCE! BRING IN JT!

People who MUST GO AWAY SOON include Coach, and Tyson from Timbira and Erinn (is she gone yet?) and Sydney and a couple more miscellaneous white guys from Jalapao whose names I've forgotten.

I have to agree with you about Luke. He's grating on me. Favorite team so far is Gay Son/Dad and I'm liking Cara and Jamie. Keisha and Jen have not made much of an impression yet, I'm on the fence about Tammy and Victor and the other two teams seem to be struggling.

As for Survivor, I'm liking the twists of the cross tribe alliance (and the fact that one of the group isn't fully committed). Rooting for Taj at the moment but this is subject to change.

Me too, I would love to see Taj win. She kicked ass at that heavy-bag-carrying thing and she was savvy enough to fill Sierra in on the plan while some other dumber person at exile might have thought Brandon didn't tell Sierra because he changed his mind about the alliance.

Taj is easily the smartest one out there. BUT GET JT, dudes, before it's too late and he forms an alliance and beats you OR before he tricks Stephen into revealing the alliance and doesn't join OR because Stephen is on the fence about the alliance.

I'm glad you also think Luke is kind of a brat, and yeah, Mel and Mike are SUCH good sports and full of love and kindness. And yet, I see them having an emotional yet hopeful departure right before the final 3...

heh. poor Mel and Mike as characters in imaginary fiction. I want Kisha and Jen to win the most. Or the stuntmen because Joss will grow up to be short. I find the lawyers the wrong kind of intense But I watch only by reading and looking at photos.

also I love Taj think she and Sierra are pretty. But survivor still has too many people for my reading and looking at photos style of watching.

I think that of the current teams I'd be happy with a final combination in any configuration that doesn't involve the blondes. They've already proved their lack of racing ability and that I cannot tolerate.

Oh and also I am shallow. JEN IS SO, SO HOT on TAR. Kisha at the end of the race was all "America's next top model!" and I was a) glad that I was watching TAR instead of AMTM and b) glad that Kisha and Jen chose to do TAR over ANTM.

But mostly she is just so hot. Between her and Tammy and whichevre one of JAmie and CAra is the hot one, there is LOTS of eye candy this year.

I thought they all looked good in their underwear, even Mike and whichever of the stuntmen did it. More importantly everyone seems to be having fun. But then, I consider Jon Pertwee eye-candy,so what do I know. ;)

They're growing on me, but they still haven't made a very strong impression beyond being decent racers. I'm hoping that as teams fall by the wayside, they'll get more screentime.

Coach can't even DO anything. He hasn't won -- and barely HELPED -- on a single challenge, at home he's a jerk, and the only person who likes him is psychopath Tyson (the psychopath. Tyson.) and Coach's only strategy so far to deflect attention from himself is to dub one person or other a "cancer" that needs to be removed from the tribe.

I think his "strategy" is to do as little as possible and wait until everyone votes for him at the final tribal council because they've realised that he's a special snowflake and perfect in every way.

but victor is kind of MEAN. and he doesn't care about tammy, really, and that pisses me off. i mean, if you are going to call luke stuffed up and "entitled" - victor is all those things and more! while i do agree like needs to stop with the temper-tantrums, he does genuinely seem to love being on the race. at least by the pit-stop.

i want mel and mike to win. for sure. the cheerleaders and jen and keisha. but i really want keisha to (like victor) realize that her younger sister is a valuable asset.

as for survivor - DUDE. NEVER GIVE THE IDOL AWAY. oh, TAJ. WHY OH WHY.

i want sierra and taj to go all the way. dump stephen for JT and his missing tooth. the only problem with that is - he's a physical threat once they get down to the end, and brendon might not want to give away that much of his power. but he needs to be careful because if tyson realizes that there are cross-tribal alliances, because tyson is stupid and i hate him. coach and his assistant coach needs to go away. the problem with getting rid of sydney is that she's the only female other than taj on jalapao. i think everyone except taj and jt are expendable on that tribe though.
