1. Don't have a Dreamwidth acct yet but plan on buying one in May, just for namesquatting slash exit strategy. But I ain't leaving LJ. I like it here. Also Dreamwidth is Dth in my head, not DW, which is and will always be Doctor Who. Any chance of starting a trend? So... who's got a Dth invite? *g* Use it learn it love it! Use it three times and it's yours! Woo!

2. Though I do a lot of my brain-spewing over on Twitter... I was suspicious of folks who ship their twitters to LJ until I realized it's for archival purposes, not just noise, and then it made lots of sense. Twitter isn't searchable and doesn't have any useful archive properties. Which is to say I'll probably be shippin' my tweets here but will keep 'em behind a cut once I figure out how. So, people, what's your favorite tweet-shipper?

3. I forgot what 3 was for.

4. In re: mini XF renaissance, and without getting into a whole to-do... canonically it's safest to assume Mulder and Scully started sleeping together somewhere between "Orison" and "all things", yes? I mean, it was pretty blindingly obvious this time through, much as my fannish brain can of course put it anywhere -- around "Anasazi" is good, as is, of course, before "Never Again." But in canon, this time through, I don't even think it was subtext. Or maybe I'm giving them too much credit, or maybe David and Gillian just took over, but I think it's pretty clear there is some commencing-of-sexual-relationship just after Orison and from there through Requiem. My guess is that David and Gillian consciously played it that way. Does anyone ([ profile] frey_at_last) have any interview material, etc, to back this up?

5. Speaking of post-Orison, do what I did, and go back and read Anyone with a Gun, the Orison post-ep [ profile] runpunkrun and I wrote as our combined cool-headed alter ego, V. Salmone (a professional and well-educated woman from Corpus Christi, TX, in case you were wondering; she has a backstory and everything... and a desk). Not to toot our horns, but when Punk and I put our heads together, sometimes good stuff comes out, and in this case, somehow, it was just right. At least in terms of my most current XF rewatch. Felt good, is what. High fives all around.

6. I fell asleep outside in the sun and my retinas have not yet forgiven me.

7. Who watches "Hell's Kitchen"? What a car crash of a show. But yet I can't look away.

2. I use LoudTwitter to ship, but I ship it to a Gmail account, so that it's archived & searchable, but not in anyone's way.

4. I remember making this post mentioning that the producers changed the beginning of "all things" to imply that M&S slept together, but I have no idea why I made it. DVD commentary, maybe? Check the DVD if you have it.

I remember the all things story differently.

Gillian created the beginning of the episode to look like what she and David had decided: M&S were sleeping together. Then she ran out of time and didn't get to shoot the ending by herself, where she wasn't going to have it end with him getting up from her snuggle. But she ran out of time. So they wanted to make sure that we didn't HAVE to accept what happened.

I remember [ profile] silveraspen did a very verbose detailed noromo explanation on the OBSSE list as to why she would be showering and dressing with the door open (to clear the fog from the mirror) and how they could have slept in the same bed with nothing happening. Ahhhh noromo panic.

I remember the noromo explanation far more clearly than anythign the shippers said; I was so mad at Chris Carter at the time that I refused to see ANY intended or unintended MSR because I felt like he was MOCKING US with it. But I vaguely remember Gillian feeling differently when it came time for her ep.

At this point there still aren't any interviews testifying to the theory that David and Gillian consciously made M&S turn the corner. But most of the people I know who have rewatched the series recently have come to the same conclusion. Especially with Chris Carter still blaring about "respect" at the time, it's hard to think he was behind it.

BUT, "all things" is accepted as the closest thing to official notice - at the time - since Gillian says in her commentary that the producers (I think she mentions Spotnitz by name) came to her and told her that she should put in a little implication that they spent the night together (since they were planning for the end-of-season pregnancy surprise).

Now, Chris and Frank both talk like it's established canon that M&S had sex in the end half of season seven, but since it wasn't in the scripts and they also say they kept everything deliberately ambiguous, I don't know who else we can blame except Duchovny and Anderson! (And they claim that after six years they didn't even remember they'd had a baby, so who knows if they remember how they interacted in season seven.)

I can't even guess as to whether it was conscious or unconscious, but I'd like someone to ask them, someday!

Yeah, THAT is what I remember. I haven't seen the commentaries. I should go scour an *ahem* community to see if I can get my hands on the "all things" commentary for just that reason.

But the point is in almost every episode AFTER that, it ends w/Mulder and Scully back at Mulder's having beers on the couch.

Oh, frickin' X-FILES OW MY HEAD.

All of this is probably why I liked Farscape so much. *g*

(Not that I didn't love the beers on the couch...)

hahaha, so true. Except for the one with the tobacco beetles, which I prefer not to remember. and the one with Kathy Griffin, same story. AUGH CHRIS CARTER.

If you're having trouble getting it, I can probably rip it for yeh!

I second what scrubschick said.

I'm probably watching a different Hell's Kitchen to you, or am somewhere else in the episodes, but yes, it's so awful I can't take my eyes off it.

I'm watching what I can only imagine is... this season? We just got down to the final three (my favorite is Paula). Does that sound familiar? I mainlined them on Hulu.

Also a friend of mine said he could get us reservations to the dining room here in LA -- but seriously, imagine the ick factor. Would you in good conscience be able to eat one of those beef wellingtons?

I shudder and can't look away!

3. I forgot what 3 was for.

Which is why, although I do not know you, I love you. Tiny moments in your writing, like this.

And yet I can't take credit for it! I mean, I was riffing on the Violent Femmes.

On the other hand, I like to think it's the sort of thing I would say. *g*

You are entirely awesome also. Thank you so much!

I think Dth is a good idea! Will try to switch.

I used LoudTwitter, but it has stopped working for me, I don't know why. Will have to investigate.
