counting backwards, there were two days that I didn't sleep, one of which came with a nice fat migraine too. I'm not sure which they were, but it's Wednesday now (right?) and I've just woken up, woke up about 5 am, but now the sun's coming up, and I'm not even horrified, because I don't need to sleep STILL, I've slept ALREADY, and the sunrise has a whole new meaning.

And I've got coffee and Erykah Badu and two meetings today, and though it's hot as fuck apparently it's not as hot as (104!) it was yesterday, so that's something too.

Plus little LE came through after all, and the crusades for The Jeds have begun. Jo forwarded me something that made me nearly fall on the floor. (oh, um, these are the West Wing awards, then. Which is to say, come visit.)

I want to be on Oregon time, just a little, Vegas time, DiMaggio time. I missed Punk online nine times yesterday/today. but then again, Jo's around, George is coming back, Shana's still here and k's a crazy lunatic.

you see I picks my friends like I picks my fruit...

When I first worked for the Sci Fi Channel, in the 8800 Sunset offices, we were right across the street from the O-Bar, Woody Harrelson (right?)'s oxygen bar. Sold oxygen and wheatgrass shots, probably tempeh and pickled plums. by the time I left SFC it had gone out of business, and we all congregated at Red Rock anyway, drinking beer, eating cheeseburgers, smoking cigarettes.

the moral of the story: nobody's gonna pay $30 for oxygen when there's beer, cheeseburgers and cigarettes right next door.

I'm off to breakfast now.
