Dec. 11th, 2003 03:03 pmI nabbed this from
jenavira and I would appreciate it if you all would respond. For we are all Friends, here. You can even tell me something I already know.
To wit:
I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.
ETA: my mood, because
elke_tanzer asked so nicely, is now appropriately quixotic.

Date: 2003-12-11 04:06 pm (UTC)I trust your judgment, so there. But you do suck at meeting people, though it's no fault but your own. You're too cute and smart and witty to be so shy. Speaking of which, when are you coming back to LA?
I love vinegar. On anything. Even my pulse points, like a fine cologne.

Date: 2003-12-11 04:29 pm (UTC)I'm not sure. I hope that if I lend it to Fi, she will like it enough to copy it, then copies can be sent.
I'm a sucker for 70s political thrillers, myself, American style.
Me too, oftentimes TV movies.
I can only assume the 80s in Britain comes with the same bad hair, low-rider automobiles and smarmy spies? With smart, funny banter and love-hate relationships between powerful women and caddish men?
Bad hair, wicked deeds and hate-filled sex. A former Special Branch officer who has a nervous breakdown after the death of his daughter and admits that he cracked an IRA terrorist by caressing him because the man had only ever experienced violent or paid-for touching in his adult life. A battle between good and evil. A main character who turns into flowers on a mountainside. (with music by Eric Clapton)
But you do suck at meeting people, though it's no fault but your own.
True alas. I can only keep working at it.
