8 is Colin Hay "Beautiful World."

9 is BNL "Same Thing."

14 is "you will you will you will" etc, mine was by Snow Patrol, yours isn't.

19 sounds familiar, but I'll just give up instead.

Mine is Snow Patrol too. It's in fact precisely the version you sent me. *g* And you do know 19, just you wait.

Excellent. The Snow Patrol version exceeds all others.

Hmm. Several of these are familiar, but I can only get a few:

11. The Barenaked ladies, Same Thing
12. Maroon Five, She Will be loved
14. Bright Eyes, You Will

Yep yep. It's actually Snow Patrol's cover of that Bright Eyes song, which Punk sent me and which I highly recommend. Mmmm.

Hmm. I didn't realize Snow patrol covered that song. I'll track it down, pronto.

I took this one too. *g* I love it. Thank you!

Ah. #5 is courtesy of moi, "Lay Me Down" by The Frames.

And #19 is "The Asshole Song" by Jude.

Also, the cut-tag text is "Rick James" by Jude. *g*

And I knew the BNL one as well, of course.

And! (To continue a theme in first words of sentences) I'm very interested to learn that Snow Patrol covered a Bright Eyes song. Because I love Snow Patrol and really sort of hate Bright Eyes, but I think he writes some interesting songs.

Also, I've been drinking. *g*

I love that Frames song. Actually, I nabbed them all, the ones you sent, and I love them ALL. I'm partial to "Santa Maria" and "What Happens When The Heart Just Stops." Thank you!

In my personal, rockstar, opinion, the Snow Patrol cover is approximately eight SKILLION times better than the Bright Eyes version. It's got so much more feeling to it.

And I think my favorite Frames song you posted was Revelate. Because it's screamy. I'm apparently on a screamy kick lately.

*cough*nothardtoimagine*cough*cough*

Hm. There is also a fantastic screamy song they do called "Stars Are Underground." Perhaps I'll upload it when I get a chance. *g*

No, Bright Eyes is not so much about feeling as it is about sound. I've never really taken to his music either, though it's okay if you're looking for some nice music to kill yourself by. I put a song or two of his on a Smallville mix I'm making for Lex.

This clearly shows how ignorant I am of song lyrics. I didn't recognize a single one, but I'm curious about #4, which sounds like a Londo/G'Kar song.*g*

Date: 2004-12-28 06:45 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] iamsab.livejournal.com
Hm. You know, it really IS. And, you get a copy of this cd, baby. Send me your Munich addy?

From: [identity profile] selenak.livejournal.com
I shall, if you sent me your Los Angeles one.*g* (Actually, didn't I send you mine already pre-holidays? Never mind, I'll send again.)

Anyway, since you're still awake; Londo's last challenge reply would provide an opening for you know what.*veg*

From: [identity profile] iamsab.livejournal.com
I'm sort of mired in cd-making over here, especially since I have to construct about 20 of these in the next day, and I'm handwriting all of 'em. *g* I'll definitely go read Londo's latest, but I'm not convinced I can respond tonight...

However, address received!

It doesn't have to tonight, just if possible before the 30th because I lose online access then.

10 = Strange Boat by the Waterboys. A reference to Sab's Home for the Wayward, no doubt? Just read [livejournal.com profile] mandysbitch's Scrubs!fic and was thinking of you. Merry festive season.

How funny! My version's actually by Shivaree, and until you posted this I always figured it was just a Shivaree song. I must go investigate these Waterboys. Is their version good?

I just bookmarked CGB's fic. What with that and Yuletide I am FULL of Scrubsish holiday spirit!
